︎︎︎EV.OLUTION > DESIGN & EDUCATION

The overall approach to design is inspired by Bauhaus and its powerful methods in learning from materials around us and seeing the potential of simple structures in how we use those resources.

The book as a medium is key for the exploration of educational methods and groundwork to understand the origin of that timeless design.

Starting with the School inside the Book, an educational game that identifies our sensorial perception of design, the following projects highlight all the aspects of the book making and its construction.

The exploration undertaken is about the book’s anatomy and functionality as an educational tool. In particular, the analysis of the book’s materiality underlines the importance of paper to express form and fashion of educational methods. The research aims to compare and contrast different types of design: from architectural drawings to construction, from editorial design to curriculum planning.

︎︎︎MY EV.OLUTION

Eva is an editorial designer and educator. Since 2014, she has been working in research and curatorial practices to develop editorial projects that enable cultural exchanges through design. Since then, her aim is to be a designer for educational purposes, focusing on publications, text books and resources for schools.

Recently, she has started the Learning & Teaching project where she can combine design and languages.

“I seek the real nature of things and the materiality of objects. The book, and its purpose, is not just an item; it’s the key for that quest and launchpad of my own evolution”.
